


Downer Ending: After disposing of the Kingpin for attempting to kidnap the infant Alyx Vance, the G-Man leaves Candidate #12 at the doorstep of the Black Mesa dormitories, just as the nuke explodes and engulfs the building in a firewave.Crowbar Combatant: The Crowbar reappears as the signature melee weapon of the game.Chest Burster: At one point, you come across Snarks bursting out of scientists and marines a la Alien.The G-Man then appears, comments that you're not supposed to be there, and teleports you back, telling you to "forgot about all this". Midway through the game, you accidentally stumble into a dimensional rift, where you get a few quick glimpses of Adrian Shepard aboard the osprey, Gordon Freeman in the tram, and various Combine forces flying by (specifically Gunships, Dropships, a couple of Mortar Synths and an Advisor).Dr Richard Keller can also be seen a little further into the chapter, waving at Candidate #12 from an elevator before the doors close.You don't see their faces or bodies, but you do see their feet from under the cubicle doors, and they will make a voice line when you first touch the doors. If you enter the woman's restroom in the first chapter before the resonance cascade, you can find Half-Life: Decay protagonists Gina Cross and Colette Green in the toilets.Armies Are Evil: The HECU and Black Ops, as to be expected.11th-Hour Superpower: The Gluon Gun is used to defeat the Gargantua at the climax of the mod's final combat sequence.
